Updates as of now!

We finally painted the house before the rain came in. We love the Sandy Sage color and accented the windows and trim with a Chef White! All from Valspar if you are interested! Here's a before and after shot. I love it so much! I thought the yellow primer wasn't bad but after looking at this green, I'm in love!
It goes so well with the wood accent up top. We are leaving the wood alone but we did forget to paint the trim up top so we will be doing that as soon as we can, which now that the rain as hit, will probably be in the spring, welcome to Oregon!
After we painted our home it was time to finally clean out my old childhood bedroom that was full of our stuff from our apartment. My parents were gracious enough to allow us to store our stuff in my bedroom until the tiny house was ready. My bedroom was already such a small room, about a 9x5 room, that is about 45 sq. ft. Our tiny home storage loft will be 7x9 which is about 63 sq ft. so we will have more the enough room. We still have a few big items to move into the storage loft but for the most part it's all moved in! We are excited that part of the journey is done with and I'm sure my parents are happy to have their room back once again. On a side note, we did have a pare down day to fit all our stuff into that tiny 9x5 bedroom (excluding our bed and appliances).
We have been cleaning up on the homestead and believe it or not, this area use to be worse. This is what we walk out to every morning. It has been abandoned and neglected for years. We are planning and clearing all the brush and beams and the yellow truck and making it a picnic area.
We have been so busy and it was so hot over the summer we hadn't been able to do much outside. We cleared out a lot of brush that day, hoping it's enough so we spray and get rid of those bushes!

Now that it's getting colder we are working on the inside of the Tiny House. We are finally painting the inside. I wanted to before we moved in but Nick was unsure. So I painted the back wall of the storage loft since it is covered by a lot of stuff and showed Nick, he liked the primer so he agreed that we would paint. I have some time set aside in November and can hopefully paint away! After it is painted we will be planning on adding back splash to the kitchen. We do not want to use traditional back splash because of the weight and we want to keep the Tiny House light as we can. So we will be using peel and stick and just an FYI to anyone looking at peel and stick, there is so many choices!
That's most of the updates I can think of so far. But before I sign off here. Take a look at our cute little heater. It heats up our tiny home like no other and we love it. Plus it's only 19 inches wide which is fantastic for a tiny home!
